How to file a claim
*Please note that approved claims mean that renters will be impacted financially by their responsibility to reimburse Rhino for the approved dollar amount.
How to File a Claim:
- Log in to portal.sayrhino.com
- Go to the “Claims" tab in the left navigation
- Fill out the requested information about this renter and file a claim for "Loss of Rent" or "Excessive Wear and Tear"
- (If both loss of rent & excessive wear and tear occurred, 2 separate claims should be filed)
- Please note that you may need to completely type out the renters address and select it from the dropdown.
- Upload supporting documentation:
- Note: You will not be able to submit your claim without documentation attached.
- Examples of supporting documentation:
- Loss of Rent
- Complete renter ledger (Required)
- Lease (Required)
- Any additional relevant documents that support the amount being claimed
- Excessive Wear and Tear
- Complete renter ledger (Required)
- Lease (Required)
- Photos
- Any additional relevant documents that support the amount being claimed
- Loss of Rent
- Select Payout Method
- Direct Deposit
- Physical Check
- Enter Payment Method details
- Submit claim
- Once the claim has been submitted you will receive an acknowledgment email for your records.
Claims Troubleshooting
If you are experiencing issues submitting a claim, review the common causes below.
File Size Uploaded files must be under 10 MB. If your file exceeds this limit, try compressing the file or splitting it into smaller uploads before resubmitting.
Claim Amount Claims can only be submitted for an amount equal to or less than the policy's available remaining coverage. If you are receiving an error, verify the available coverage limit on the policy before submitting.
Incorrect Policy Selected Make sure you have selected the correct policy before submitting. If a renter has multiple policies, confirm you are filing under the policy that corresponds to the correct coverage period.
