Cancelling your Renters Insurance policy

The cancellation process depends on which provider services your policy. We work with two renters insurance providers: Cover Genius and Lemonade.

To find out which one services your policy, log in to your Rhino portal and check your renters insurance policy. 

If no provider is listed, your policy is through Lemonade — contact them directly to cancel:

  • App: Lemonade app
  • Email: help@lemonade.com
  • Phone: 844-733-8666

If it shows Cover Genius, you can cancel directly in your portal using the steps below.

  • Log in at sayrhino.com.
  • Click "My Policies" at the top of the page
  • Scroll to your renters insurance policy and select "Menu."
  • Select "Cancel Policy."
  • Enter your reason for cancellation and select "Submit Cancellation Request."
  • You will receive an on-screen and email confirmation.
  • You will receive a prorated refund for the remaining days on your policy, posted to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.
  • Note: These steps apply to your Rhino + Jetty Renters Insurance policy only. If you also have a Security Deposit Alternative policy, that must be canceled separately.
