Renewing a Rhino Security Deposit Insurance policy

Renewing Your Policy

Keep your coverage active throughout your lease. We offer automatic renewals, manual renewals, and the option to opt out if you plan to move out.

Automatic Policy Renewal

Your policy renews automatically, with payment processed 15 days before your coverage end date.

If payment fails, we will notify you by email and retry your saved method until successful. Keep your payment info up to date to avoid any issues.

How to Opt Out

If you do not want your policy to renew, you can cancel the renewal directly from your account.

Take action before the 15-day renewal window, as policies renew automatically at that point.

  1. Log in at sayrhino.com
  2. Click your name (upper right corner) and select “Account”

  1. Under “Next Steps,” find your policy
  2. Select “Cancel auto-renewal”

If your policy renews before you cancel, you can still request a cancellation and may be eligible for a refund.

Manual Renewal

You can renew up to 90 days before your policy expires through your account

When eligible, a prompt will appear on your policy page showing the time remaining until policy expiration.

  1. Log in at sayrhino.com
  2. Click your name (upper right corner) and select “Account”

  1. Under “Next Steps,” find your policy
  2. Click “Renew Now”

  1. Review and accept your quote to process payment and generate your renewed policy

Please note: Manual renewal is available for Security Deposit Alternative only. Renters Insurance policies auto-renew on the final day of coverage and cannot be renewed early. Clicking Renew Now will immediately charge you the renewal premium.

What If Your Policy Has Already Expired?

If your policy has expired, you may still have options:

  • Within 60 days: Log in to your account and select “Reactivate Coverage”

  • After 60 days: Contact your property manager to request a new enrollment invitation
